  • Notes
    • Sarah Waters was born in 1788 in New York, the daughter of Thomas Waters and Bridget Mathews. She married Robert Hetfield Seely and, according to family records, they were the parents of eight children. Only three daughters have been clearly identified - Sarah Seely (married Henry Whetten Brevoort), Caroline Seely (died in childhood) and Lavinia Seely (married Charles B Macy). The Seely family lived primarily in Goshen, Orange county New York, but Robert H Seely had business established in New York City. Some family members eventually removed to New Jersey.
