  • Notes
    • Catherine Brooks was probably born about 1806 in Orange county New York. She is named as a "daughter" in the 1816-1821 Will of Mary Mathews, but her parentage remains uncertain. In this database she is represented as the daughter of Mary Mathews and Jonathan Brooks, but that relationship is not firmly established. She is not mentioned in the 1811 Will of Jonathan Brooks. About 1825, Catherine Brooks was married to Mister Hulse, and they resided near Hamptonburgh in Orange county New York. Catherine Brooks and Mister Hulse were the parents of three identified sons - Eugene L Hulse, Jerome E Hulse, and Everill L Hulse.
